As the Department of Communication and Design, our primary aim is to provide our students with a strong theoretical and practical education in communication and design while creating an environment in which they can develop their critical thinking, creativity, and independent creative production skills.

Communication and design are fields that are constantly evolving alongside technological developments and interacting with various disciplines. For this reason, our curriculum brings together communication studies, visual design, photography, video, digital media, and other areas of creative production. We consider it important that our students not only learn to use existing tools and techniques but also question the purposes for which these tools are used and how they should be applied.

In our approach to education, theoretical knowledge and practical experience complement one another. Through courses, projects, and collaborative work, we aim to help our students discover their individual interests, encounter different perspectives, and gradually develop their own distinctive approaches to creative production.

We believe that university education extends beyond the classroom. We encourage our students to participate in activities that support their academic, cultural, and professional development, gain diverse experiences, and present their own work.
